Iin Tinjau TPS 3R di Ciracas

3R Waste Processing Site in Ciracas will Operate Next Week

East Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Iin Mutmainah, inspected the location of the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Waste Processing Site (TPS3R) at RW 09, Kebersihan Complex, Ciracas Urban Village, Wednesday (1/24).

If it is managed integratedly, this area is very good for waste processing

According to her, the TPS3R had just been completed by the East Jakarta Environment Sub-agency last year and was planned to be inaugurated by Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono on Friday (1/26). It is the second TPS in East Jakarta after previously being in Ujung Menteng, Cakung.

"If it is managed integratedly, this area is very good for waste processing. In fact, the waste sorting program starts from the upstream or household," she explained.

She hoped that urban village and sub-district heads could mobilize the community to participate in sorting waste from their respective households. If it was done simultaneously and consistently, the waste disposed of at the Bantargebang Landfill would be reduced.

Environment Sub-agency Head, Eko Gumilar added TPS3R has 25 tons per day capacity. The results would be used as lignite coal fuel which could be used for cement factories.

"It will be operated this week," he uttered.
