PASTI Sunjay Handles Stunting in Sunter Jaya Urban Village

Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Eka Persilian Yeluma initiates program to handle stunting namely Program Percepatan Aksi Stunting Sunter Jaya (PASTI Sunjay).
133 toddlers are free of stunting
Eka said there were 171 children indicated with stunting in 2023 in Sunter Jaya Urban Village. Through this program, the number of stunting case keeps declining.
"Now 133 toddlers are free of stunting, the remaining 38 are still being handled," he said, Friday (1/26).
South Jakarta Targets Zero StuntingStunting handling in Sunter Jaya Urban Village also cooperates with company through corporate social responsibility (CSR) and other organizations.
"The program is a community work including raising donations for the procurement of equipment and nutritious food, foster parents, and the establishment of a posyandu," he added.
According to him, through donation his side is able to do procurement of weighing and height equipment to be distributed to 24 posyandu, as well as obtaining PediaSure high protein milk to be given to every toddler indicated with stunting.
"We're also intensify foster parent progtam for toddlers indicated with stunting until their condition are better," he continued.
The posyandu pilot model is a result of PT Ajinomoto Indonesia cooperation with Kelompok Gerakan Sinergitas Stunting (Mpok Gesit).
"Thanks to the companies and organizations for participating in this program. This year target is zero stunting," he stated.
His side will also focus in early stunting handling by routinely hold socialization and coaching for pregant moms.
Meanwhile, one of local residents, Dewi Laksmi, admitted happy and thankful with this program.
"My toddler gets nutritious food and high protein milk, also health check up. The result is free from stunting in less than three months," she explained.
