Afterward, personnel checked several storm drains to ensure that no material or mud was blocking the water access to the channel.

"The rain provided an overview of potential locations for flooding. That's why, we carry out checks and cleaning," he said, Tuesday (1/30).

In the future, his party will keep monitoring road conditions when heavy rain occurs and will build more storm drains if needed.

"We also lowered the gutter section of the road, thus water flows smoothly into the channel under the road. Today, the cleaning was completed and will then be evaluated," he asserted.

The action received appreciation from a motorbike driver, Ari (29).

"The puddle isn't high, but if you pass by it's a bit annoying," said this private employee in the Menteng area.
