The Central Jakarta TP PKK and Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Perumda PAM Jaya, Tuesday (1/30), agreed to cooperate in preventing stunting in five urban villages.

The cooperation signing was done at RPTRA Rusun Benhil RW 08, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Tanah Abang.

Central Jakarta TP PKK Head, Ucu Jamilah, admitted that up to 90 days ahead, Perumda PAM Jaya is committed to give additional food for 105 children indicated with stunting in Harapan Mulya Urban Village, Kebon Kosong Petamburan, Bendungan Hilir and Karet Tengsin Urban Village.

Previously, Perumda PAM Jaya also participated in giving additional food for children in Kebon Melati and Bendungan Hilir Urban Village in June to September 2023 ago.

"There were 50 children last year, and now it reaches 105 children. But last year's assistance was given to stunting children, and this year is for children indicated with stunting," she added.

Ucu hopes this cooperation will trigger all side to participate actively in handling stunting in Central Jakarta.

Not only signing the cooperation, Ucu continued, there was also education for mother to prevent stunting.

According to him, stunting can not only be handled by handling the suspect, but mother's role is also important. That is why education is given to the mother.

Meanwhile, DWP Perumda PAM Jaya Head, Lya Arief Nasrudin, explained this collaboration is a concrete manifestation of her party's commitment in overcoming stunting in Jakarta.

"Not only handling stunting, PAM Jaya also flows piping water in Kebon Kosong Urban Village," she explained.
