March, Channel Normalization on Jalan Kramat Kwitang Done

The Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) continues to speed up the channel normalization on Jalan Kramat Kwitang 1 D, RW 06, Kwitang Urban Village, Senen.

The damage touches around 70 percent

Senen Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Zulfahmi Baco explained the channel was being normalized to accommodate rainwater in large quantities, moreover, most of the sheet pile had been damaged.

"The damage touches around 70 percent," he expressed, Thursday (2/8).

He explained the work has been ongoing since December 6, 2023, using a U-ditch measuring 600 x 600 centimeters.

"We send 12 personnel plus a mini excavator to the location," he explained.

Thus far, the progress has reached 50 percent and is targeted for completion in March 2024.

The work received appreciation from RW 07 Kwitang Urban Village Chairman, Bambang.

"The condition is already serious. It would be a good idea to make a manhole cover on the channel to make it neater," he stated.
