Campaign Properties in South Jakarta to Be Controlled Tonight

South Jakarta City Administration is about to control campaign properties in its area, Saturday (2/10) tonight.

The controlling is run ahead of quiet period of 2024 General Election on February 14, 2024.

South Jakarta City Secretary, Ali Murthadho, said based on agreement with KPU and Bawaslu, his side will start controlling the campaign properties on February 11 at 12 AM.

"We'll control campaign properties during quiet period on February 11-13 especially on protocol roads such as Mampang Prapatan, Pancoran, Setiabudi, Tebet and Kebayoran Baru," he said, Saturday (2/10).

According to him, the controlling will involve joint personnel of Satpol PP, Army, Police, Bawaslu, KPU, Communication and Informatics Sub-agency, Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, City Park and Forestry Sub-agency, Water Resources Sub-agency and Bina Marga Sub-agency of South Jakarta.

"We'll also deploy 69 big trucks and ladder cars for 10 sub-districts," he added.

The controlled campaign properties will be taken to Satpol PP warehouse in Kebayoran Lama.

"We also cooperate with KPU and Bawaslu to ask political parties to control the props before quiet period," he stated.

South Jakarta Bawaslu Commissioner, Ahmad Fahlevi, admitted his side has controlled 2,929 props violating the regulation on protocol roads.

"The controlling will remain be continued up to the end of quiet period," he admitted.
