2,881 Campaign Attributes in C. Jakarta Removed

The Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) together with representatives of political parties, accompanied by the National Unity and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol) and Central Jakarta Satpol PP, removed 2,881 campaign attributes or props (APK) in eight sub-district areas.

Central Jakarta Bawaslu Chairman, Christian Nelson Pangkey said the operation was held simultaneously from Friday (1/26) to Saturday (1/27).

According to him, it was following Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU)'s Decree Number 363 regarding locations where APK installation is prohibited, such as pedestrian crossings (JPOs), road dividers, flyovers, parks, schools, places of worship, and government office facilities.

"Our target is JPO and flyover," he expressed, Monday (1/29).

He explained most attributes removed were banners, banners, and flags from the 2024 election participants. Most of them were still being secured by us. Of 2,881 attributes, 104 were netted in Menteng, 68 were in Johar, 132 were in Senen, and 1,698 were in Sawar Besar.

Then 67 were in Cempaka Putih, 131 were in Gambir, 564 were in Gambir, and 116 were in Kemayoran.

"Representatives of election participants can collect their attributes from us. Coordination can be done through their respective Panwascam," he explained.

Central Jakarta Kesbangpol Sub-agency Head, Rachmat Hidayat said Bawaslu together with Panwascam had previously given letters of warning to each political party to remove attributes that had been damaged or disturbed road users.

"Hopefully, political parties will consciously and voluntarily remove their attributes of those who violate the rules, thus the order and beauty of this city are maintained," he hoped.
