Jakarta Provincial Government through Transportation Agency will eliminate odd-even license plate number policy on February 14, or during election.
Road users are advised to obey traffic signs
Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo, said it is based on Presidential Decree No 10/2004 about 2024 General Election's Voting Day as National Holiday and General Election Commission Regulation No 3/2022 about 2024 General Election Stage and Implementation.
Moreover, Syafrin said that the effort is also based on Gubernatorial Regulation No 88/2019 verse 3 which states that traffic restrictions using the odd-even system are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays determined by Presidential Decree.
West Jakarta Ready to Secure 2024 General ElectionSyafrin appealed the residents to remain obey traffic signs during driving on the road.
"Road users are advised to obey traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field and prioritize road safety," he closed.
