Meanwhile, resident of RW 01, Panggang Island Urban Village, Saeful Bahri (44), admitted the dike is important to block the sea water. The public cemetery near the dike is often inundated during high tide.
"It's good to hold the sea water from inundating the surrounding," he stated.
