Sea Dike on Sebira Island Strengthened with Gabion Wall

Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency strengthened sea dike on the northern side of Sebira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Gabion wall is installed to hold big waves and protect the dike from abrasion

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri conveyed, his side strengthened sea dike by installing gabion wall along 141 meters.

"Gabion wall is installed to hold big waves and protect the dike from abrasion," he mentioned, Tuesday (5/25).

Seawall Construction on Karya Island Has Touched 90 Percent

His side deployed 10 personnel since May 17, 2021 to install gabion wall in order to strengthen sea dike.

"Now it has reached 42 meters. Our target is to finish gabion wall installation until end of this month," he said.
