Physical Aids Distributed to Poors on Two Islands

The Seribu Islands Technical Working Unit (UKT) Social Section has distributed physical aids, four wheelchairs and one cane, to the needy on Tidung Island and Panggang Island.

It can lighten their burden and help their daily mobility

UKT 1 Technical Working Unit Social Section Head, Irfan Damanhuri detailed two chairs and one tripod were given to residents on Tidung Island and two wheelchairs for those in need on Panggang Island.

"It is a basic service for the needy, especially poor people," he expressed, Monday (2/19).

Social Agency to Add Physical Aid for Disability

He explained the assistance was free of charge to residents who had submitted a request to the urban village office by bringing a certificate of incapacity from the RT/RW administrator and a doctor's certificate stating that they had to use assistive devices.

To distribute the assistance on the target, personnel would carry out factual verification of the condition of residents who submitted applications.

"Hopefully, it can lighten their burden and help their daily mobility," he explained.

One of the wheelchair receivers from RT 05/01, Panggang Island Urban Village, Siti (72) admitted she was happy and expressed her gratitude for the physical aids provided.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), very happy to get this help. Having this wheelchair makes it easier for me to do outdoor activities and bask in the sun," he stated.
