2,209 Vehicles in East Jakarta Controlled in Lintas Jaya Operation

We routinely held Lintas Jaya Operation every day

Since early January up to Tuesday (2/20), there were 2,209 vehicles were netted during Lintas Jaya operation held in East Jakarta. Those vehicles get different sanction based on the violation.

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Reny Dwi Astuti, said the operation is held every day in different location. Operation’s targets are illegal parking, overloaded vehicles, and so on.

“We routinely held Lintas Jaya Operation every day in order to create orderly traffic,” she said, Wednesday (2/21).

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency’s Monitoring and Handling Section Head, Riki Erwinda, explained 354 vehicles were ticketed, 126 vehicles were stopped operationally, 819 vehicles were ticketed by police, and 476 vehicles were ticketed due to wrong lane.

Next, 110 vehicles were flattened; 85 motorcycles, 19 three-wheeled vehicles and six cars. Moreover, 310 vehicles were towed, and 16 motorcycles were seized.

According to him, there are 45 joint personnel deployed during the operation such as from Transportation Sub-agency, East Jakarta Police, Sub Garnisun, POM TNI, Brimob and others.

The operation was already held on Japan Pintu 1 TMII, Japan Mayjen Sutoyo, Jalan MT Haryono, Cibubur Junction area, Jalan Beaks Timur, Jalan Jatinegara Timur and so on.

“The operation is held to give deterrent effect for road users,” he stated.
