175 Animals in Bukit Duri Receive Anti-rabies Vaccination

As many as 175 animals have been vaccinated against anti-rabies in three neighborhoods, Bukit Duri Urban Village, Tebet Sub-district.

Animals vaccinated are 154 cats, 19 dogs, and two monkeys

Tebet Sub-district KPKP Executing Unit Head, Hairul Ihsan said the vaccination is slated on February 19 in RW 09, on February 20 in RW 06, and February 21 in RW 08.

"Animals vaccinated are 154 cats, 19 dogs, and two monkeys," he expressed, Thursday (2/22).

He explained it was free of charge, which aims to maintain Jakarta as a province with rabies-free status.

"We target residents' pets and also aim to maintain the health of the animals and their owners," he expressed.

There are several requirements specified, namely, the animal was in good health and not pregnant or breastfeeding, more than four months old, and the owner has a Jakarta ID card.

"We keep intensifying rabies vaccination, especially in Tebet Sub-district. For those who want to know the location and time of vaccination, you can visit the social media Instagram kpkp_kecamatantebet," he explained.

The vaccination received appreciation from one of the pet owners, Widya (22).

"I have vaccinated my pets in two urban villages. Last week, I brought my cat in Menteng Dalam and I brought two cats yesterday in Bukit Duri," he stated.
