South Jakarra KPKP Sub-agency Head, Hasudungan A. Sidabalok said sterilization was conducted to control the cat population and maintain Jakarta as a rabies-free area.
"So, today, the Pesanggrahan Sub-district is the last series of sterilization of local cats from 10 sub-districts throughout South Jakarta," he expressed, Thursday (2/22).

He added sterilization in 10 sub-districts had reached more than 1,300 local cats or 130 percent of the specified target.
"Hopefully, I'm the owner and the animals are kept healthy. We'll continue to carry out sterilization," he stated.
Pesanggrahan Sub-district Head, Agus Ramdani urged owners of animals that transmit rabies continue to support sterilization and rabies vaccination programs.
"Hope it can be a routine in Pesanggrahan," he hoped.
The activity received appreciation from a resident of Bintaro, Aninda (29).
