The Seribu Islands Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) has noted that as many as 1,844 rabies-transmitting animals spread across two sub-districts have received anti-rabies vaccines.

Seribu Islands KPKP Sub-agency Acting Head, Rita Sri Lestari expressed the number of animals receiving the anti-rabies vaccine this year exceeded the target set at 1,800.
"Most vaccinations are injected on cats that are residents' pets and wild," she expressed, Thursday (1/4).
Jakarta Continues to Prevent Rabies-Transmitting Animal BitesOf 1,844 animals vaccinated, 205 were from Pramuka Island, 432 were from Panggang Island, 282 were from Tidung Island, 125 were from Pari Island, 120 were from Pari Island, 120 were from Sebira Island, 200 were from Lancang Island, 241 were from Untung Jawa Island, and 239 were from Harapan and Kelapa islands.
"This vaccination is free, we often open the service post or do it door to door. Hopefully, Jakarta can still maintain its rabies-free title," she stressed.
Together with CSR from Let's Adopt Indonesia, YPLI, Swakelola (EmYe Klinik), Petlove Center, dan Pusyankeswannak, her sub-agency also opened sterilization services for rabies-transmitting animals. In total, this year, 1,001 cats were sterilized already.
"Hope our services are sustainable. This year, we will increase the number again, to make Seribu Islands residents remain healthy and free from rabies," she closed.
