Water Channel Construction on Jalan Ksatriaan VD Realized This Year

The construction of water channel along 299 meters on Jalan Ksatriaan VD, becomes the main priority in Kebon Manggis Urban Village Development Planning Discussion (Musrenbang), Matraman, East Jakarta. The proposal will be realized this year.

Musrenbang which opened by East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, Monday (2/26), was participated by Jakarta City Council's A Commission member, Rio Sambodo and related units officials, RT/RW Heads, LMK, PKK and others.

Anwar said there were 20 proposals worth Rp 20 billion discussed today. Of the number, half of it can be realied this year, including the water channel construction on Jalan Ksatriaan VD.

"I hope all side are commit with the Musrenbang result," he said.

Jakarta City Council's A Commission member, Rio Sambodo, stated Musrenbang is to determine the realization of development by involving the community and related parties under executive and legislative coordination.

"This is part of synergizing and filling all components, both executive, legislative and community," he stated.

Kebon Manggis Urban Village Head, Ibnu Fajar, explained the 20 proposals came from four RWs. The prime proposal was construction of water channel along 299 meterds on Jalan Ksatriaan VD RT 21, 24 and 28 RW 03.

"There is no water channel on the location," Ibnu said.

Meanwhile, RW 03 LMK member of Kebon Manggis, Rudi Hartono, explained the water channel construction is needed by the residents to anticipate inundation during rainy season.

"The residents need water channel to avoid inundation," he admitted.
