Nagrak Rusunawa Residents Participate in Weaving Bimtek

The Jakarta Agency of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) together with PT Polymindo Permata (Viro), held a Weaving Technical Guidance (Bimtek) activity at Nagrak Rusunawa (low-cost apartment) from February 26 to 29, 2024.

It will improve the economy and create prosperity for the Rusunawa residents

There are about 24 participants who are coached residents of the Nagrak Rusunawa.

The material provided in this technical guidance includes an introduction to Virofiber Material, an Introduction to Viroforms, as well as exercises and simulations on weaving place mats, small wallets, small bowls, parcel bags, fruit baskets, and plates.

Relocations from Kampung Bayam to Nagrak Rusunawa Continues to Increase

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Allo expressed the Weaving Technology Bimtek aimed at producing quality craft products and follow developments in craft trends and improve the regional economy.

"Besides developing craft IKM products, it can improve the skills of the residents of Nagrak Rusunawa and the quality of the participants' products and can also improve the family economy," she expressed, Tuesday (2/27).

She explained that it was free of charge. In the future, works that have sales value would be marketed by PT Polymindo Permata and Jakarta PPKUKM Agency.

"It will improve the economy and create prosperity for the Rusunawa residents," she stated.
