Transjakarta with Route Pulogadung - North Jakarta Mayor's Office via Tipar Cakung Temporarily Suspended

The new Transjakarta service on Pulogadung - North Jakarta Mayor's Office route via Tipar Cakung (10M) is temporarily suspended. It was done due to the rejection from several public transportation drivers who had the same operational route.

Mediation has been conducted with the result that the 10M route has been temporarily suspended

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo said the police and local sub-district representatives had carried out mediation with the U03 Regular Transport driver.

"Due to the refusal of U03 Regular Transport to open the 10M route, mediation has been conducted with the result that the 10M route has been temporarily suspended," he expressed, Wednesday (2/28).

Transjakarta Opens Pulogadung - North Jakarta Mayor Office Route

He explained the Jakarta Dishub together with PT Transjakarta, by involving relevant stakeholders, will first conduct outreach to U03 Regular Transport drivers to find the best solution.

"Principally, the 10M Route is a service needed by the community and received a positive response where the number of users on the first day was quite high," he explained.

Previously, PT Transportation Jakarta (Transjakarta) opened a new service on the Pulogadung - North Jakarta Mayor's Office route via Tipar Cakung (10M) starting February 22, 2024.

This route connects East Jakarta and North Jakarta according to the Dishub's Decree Number 936/2016.

The opening of the Pulogadung - North Jakarta Mayor's Office via Tipar Cakung (10M) would serve several additional bus stop points on Jalan Raya Tipar Cakung - Jalan Plumpang Semper.

Behind the wider coverage of the Transjakarta route to optimize its services to residents, the opening of this new route has resulted in protests from public transportation drivers.
