Today, we ensure, first, to keep inflation in check

Second, there are several points that are factors for inflation in Jakarta, especially regarding electricity and fuel, as well as food," he expressed, in the Jakarta Government's press release.
He added that one of the concrete steps to reduce inflation in Jakarta was to ensure the availability of safe food, by checking its availability at Perum Bulog and Food Stations.
"Bulog says the stock is sufficient for needs in Jakarta," he added.
Jakarta BI Representative Head, Arlyana Abubakar said the inflation in Jakarta in February 2024 was still under control, namely 2.12% (year on year/yoy). This figure is still within the inflation target range of 2.5±1% and lower than the national figure of 2.75% (yoy).
"Now, to face Idul Fitri and Ramadan in TPID HLM, we're coordinating to ensure that food availability is sufficient for people's needs, thus we can control food price inflation," he explained.
Jakarta-Banten Perum Bulog Regional Office Regional Head, Mohamad Alexander also stated that rice commodity stocks were well-sufficient.
"We calculate the estimated minimum stock requirements for the next two or three months. We ensure that the stock currently controlled by Bulog is very safe. Both before religious holidays such as Ramadan, Idul Fitri, and after," he explained.
To respond to the situation of increasing rice prices, Perum Bulog held the Bulog Siaga program (action to secure prices) implemented at 183 points in Jakarta and West Java. The commodities sold are SPHP Rice (Food Supply and Price Stabilization), Premium Rice and other food commodities.
