Heru Appreciates Adipura Cup for Cities and Regencies in Jakarta

The Jakarta Provincial Government made history by winning the Adipura Cup 2023 Award for all cities and administrative districts in Jakarta.

Adipura is one of the achievements that must be maintained

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono revealed, these achievements should become parameters for continuing to push efforts in protecting the environment.

"Adipura is one of the achievements that must be maintained through the Head of the Jakarta Environment Agency, mayors, and regents," he expressed, accompanied by City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono, and Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto, at Balairung, Jakarta City Hall, Friday (3/8).

Seribu Islands Regency Receives Adipura Award

He added that North Jakarta and Thousand Islands, which in 2022 only received the Adipura certificate and upgraded to the Adipura Cup 2023. Thereby, the Acting Governor appreciated the efforts of all parties who had worked hard to achieve increased achievements.

"Thank you for your support and participation," he added, in the Jakarta Government's Press Release.

Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto explained the Adipura assessment was not only by looking physically, but also through data and information. Including data and operations of waste management facilities in monitored areas. Aside that, monitoring of Adipura is currently also carried out through the use of satellite imagery and aerial surveys such as the use of drones.

"This achievement was obtained through the participation and cooperation of various parties, such as elements of society, regional officials, and BUMDs in Jakarta, as well as related agencies," he explained.

The physical assessment of Adipura was held in 20 locations with 124 components and 268 sub-components of assessment.

Five administrative cities in Jakarta won the Adipura Award in the Metropolitan City category, namely Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, East Jakarta, and Seribu Island won the Adipura Award in the category Small Town.
