The Jakarta Provincial Government, succeeded in making history by winning the Adipura Cup award by five city regions and one administrative district.
The Environmental Agency has demonstrated various breakthroughs
Acting President, KH Ma'ruf Amin, handed over the trophy at Graha Manggala Wanabakti, Tuesday (3/5).
This historical incision received appreciation from Public Policy Observer, Zulfikar Dachlan. He assessed, this success cannot be separated from the role of the Jakarta Environmental Agency which always innovates in creating Jakarta as a sustainable global city.

He also gave special appreciation to Jakarta Environmental Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto, for his leadership which has led Jakarta to make history.
"Under his leadership, the Environmental Agency has shown extraordinary performance amidst environmental issues in Jakarta which have recently been in the international spotlight," he explained.
He mentioned that Jakarta's environmental challenges and issues in the future will become increasingly complicated, therefore the Environmental Agency must work harder than now.
"This Adipura Award is a motivation for all of us to create a clean, green , and sustainable Jakarta," he added.
Jakarta Environmental Agency's Public Relations, Yogi Ikhwan said that for the first time all five cities and one administrative district in Jakarta had won this prestigious award. This achievement indicated joint commitment and hard work in maintaining the cleanliness and management of the urban environment.
He expressed his gratitude to all Jakarta residents for their dedication and struggle in achieving the highest award in the environmental sector.
"An almost impossible achievement for a province, where the entire region received the Adipura Cup. Without strong synergy between the government and all residents, this history wouldn't have been possible," he explained.
He added this award was also a motivation for the Jakarta Government to continuously improve the quality of environmental management in the capital city.
"We won'tstop innovating and improving ourselves to make Jakarta a sustainable global city," he stated.
