Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Tumbul Purba stated the sidewalk on Jalan Pasar Senen, precisely in front of Block 1, 2, and 3 was often occupied by street vendors during Ramadan and Idul Fitri. Moreover, it would cause traffic jams.
"As we can see before where many vendors from Block 1, 2, and 3 set up stalls on the sidewalk to get more buyers," he expressed, Tuesday (3/19).

"That's why we coordinated with the market management to impose sanctions on kiosk owners who sell on sidewalks and roads," he stressed.
Central Jakarta Civil Servants Investigation and Satpol PP Operational Section Head, Ildan Adi Bayu explained 56 joint personnel had been deployed to the area of Jalan Pasar Senen and would be on standby every day from 3 PM to 11 PM.
Those joint personnel consisted of Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency, police, and army (TNI).
