West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency has completed the water channel dredging at Gang Kartika, RT 03/04, Meruya Utara Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-district.

Sub-agency's Head, Purwanti, said the dredging was run along 200 meters with 40-50 centimeters of depth. The dredging was run manually since January 2014 by 13 sub-agency personnel.
"The dredging has ben completed since a week ago. It took long time due to rainy season," she said, Wednesday (3/20).

Meanwhile, M Afandi (47), one of local residents, thanked and appreciated the West Jakarta Administration for completing the water channel.
"Hopefully the newly dredged channel will prevent inundation," he stated.
