Thousands of Regular and Additional Bus Prepared for Homecoming

Jakarta Transportation Agency has cooperated with Autobus Company to prepare 2,258 inter province buses for homecoming period starting April 4 to 14, 2024. Those buses come from 150 auto bus companies.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo said those companies are also asked to prepare additional buses. Now the additional buses have reached 150 units.

"Totally we prepare 2,258 buses from 152 auto bus companies. We also prepare 150 additional buses to anticipate passenger surge," he said, Tuesday (3/26).

Free Homecoming Participants Run Verification

Syafrin predicted the homecoming peak will happen on April 8, 2024. It is based on prediction that Eid ul Fitr will fall on April 10, 2024.

"Usually people will start their trip three days before Eid ul Fitr," he added.

Syafrin continued that Korlantas Polri will run one way system on toll road for heading to the east. It means buses come from Java will get late between April 5-6. The buses should take arterial road where motorbike travelers also use the road.

"That is why we prepare the additional buses," he closed.
