The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) once again provided free mudik (exodus) trips for Idul Fitri 2024, for a total of 19 trips to cities and districts in six provinces.

Jakarta Dishub Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo said the free mudik trips program will fall on April 4, 2024. There would be 259 buses for homecoming flow and 210 busea for returning flow. Including 13 trucks to accommodate the homecomers' vehicles during homecoming flow and 10 trucks during returning flow.

"We are now selecting a transportation service provider," he expressed, Wednesday (3/13).

He predicted that more than 18,000 residents would take part in this free mudik program. Hopefully, the high number of people who take part in this program could reduce the number of accidents and the volume of private vehicles on the roads.

"Besides reducing the use of private vehicles, especially motorbikes, it can also minimize the potential for traffic accidents," he explained.
