KAA, MRT Project Runs as Usual

The Asia Africa Summit which falls on April 19-24, 2015 will not interfere Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project along Jl MH Thamrin. However, the project location will be closed up by tarp to  avoid the dust polluting the road.

No need to halt the construction, keep going on

Jakarta Governor Basuki  “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama said the MRT project has not entering the deepest land drilling yet. Thus, it will not interfere the conference.

“It’s okay just close it up with tarp. No need to halt the construction, keep going on. Yet, several security officers will be placed there,” Ahok said at City Hall, Friday (4/17).

He uttered, currently his party are preparing several things for instance painting of pedestrian bridge (JPO) and asphalting the roads.

“Due to rain often falls down lately, JPOs haven’t paint yet , soon it will be done,” he told.

Besides that, Ahok added there are still unfinished things to do such as the detail of decoration and banner in the delegation’s hotel have not installed yet.

Meanwhile to avoid city traffic congestion during the conference, city administration gives the traffic handling away to Polda Metro Jaya traffic unit and Mabes Polri.

“I asked them later,” he said.

For your information, as much as 18 of five-stars-hotels are being prepared for both the delegations and state leader’s inn. While LED lamps series will also be installed at the hotel.
