No Odd Even License Plate Policy During Eid Holiday

The implementation of odd even license plate number policy is not applicable during Eid holiday.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo, said Eid holiday has been determined from April 8-15, 2024 based on Joint Decree of the Minister of Religion, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 855 of 2023, Number 3 of 2023, Number 4 of 2023 about National Holidays and Public Leave in 2024.

Article 3 paragraph (3) of Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2019 regulates that traffic restrictions using an odd-even system are not applicable on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays determined by Presidential Decree.

"That is why odd even license plate policy is not applicable during April 8-15, 2024," he said, Thursday (4/4).

He added that the implementation of Car Free Day on April 7, 2024 and April 14, 2024 is canceled as regulated in Article 5 paragraph (1) of Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 12 of 2016 about Implementation of Car Free Day.

"This article manages that the implementation of the Car Free Day can be canceled if a special, national or international event is also held at the same time, where the activity requires special traffic arrangements and security," he explained.
