23 Tabebuya Pink Trees Beautify Green Belt Median of Jalan Soemarno

Some 23 trees type Tabebuya Pink were planted in the median green belt of Jalan Soemarno, Pulogebang, Cakung, Friday (4/26). This tree planting packaged in the Jumat Menanam program was led by East Jakarta Parks and Forestry (Tamhut) Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifin.

According to him, it was carried out in front of the East Jakarta District Court office because that location still looks less green, even though many ornamental plants have been planted.

"Because this is access to government and military offices. That's why we beautify it by planting various ornamental plants and shady trees," he expressed.

996 Chili Seeds Planted in Joglo

According to him, as many as 12 personnel were deployed every day to guard and maintain the green belt, starting from in front of the East Jakarta District Court to near the Cacing Toll Bridge or in front of the 0505 Kodim Headquarters. There was also a sprinkler to water the plants automatically.

"We planted the Tabebuya Pink trees because the color is attractive," he explained.

Green Belt and Cemetery Section Acting Head, Randi Putra added tree planting was to support the Jakarta Provincial Government's program in meeting the target of planting two million trees.

"Here we will also install ornaments representing the Bambu Apus, which is an icon of East Jakarta. The material is galvanized and will be illuminated with garden lights," he uttered.

He added the action also involved representatives of ASN and Tamhut Executing Unit heads from ten sub-districts and Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP), as well as Jakarta Aerial Drone Racing Drone Community.

"Its planting is focused on some points where there were no visible shade trees," he said.
