Commission B Delivers 2023 OPD and BUMD Performance

"Legislators at Commission B continue to submit a number of suggestions so that there will be improvements and progress in the future," he said, Monday (4/29).

Ismail explained, suggestion for Transportation Agency is related with bike lane, parking management, public service obligation, and integrated transportation.

"We also highlight the issue related to the increase in Transjakarta bus fares," he added.

According to him, regarding discussions with the PPKUKM Agency, one of the things that emerged was related to complaints regarding the new policy about increasing levies for traders.

"Regarding this matter, it has been agreed to provide some kind of relaxation for traders with a tariff adjustment scheme as per the aspirations of the traders' association. There is an increase, but not as high as the determination," he continued.

Related to Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD), he stated, Commission B hoped that the company's revenue can be maximized so that the dividends given can continue to be increased.

"We highlight low level of dividend payments. Then, there were several BUMDs who then asked for an understanding," he stated.

Ismail given example of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) whose financial performance can not be maximized because they are still burdened with venue management such as Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), and up to Jakarta International Velodrome.

He revealed that Perumda PAM Jaya is expected to immediately maximize service coverage and resolve the Non-Revenue Water (NRW) problem.

"Perumda PAM Jaya also has plans to relocate Regional Capital Participation. From the determination of around Rp 1.5 trillion, more than Rp 600 billion has been realized. They proposed that the remaining PMD be relocated because of the consequences of the new collaboration with PT Moya," he explained.

Ismail also mentioned construction of LRT Phase 1B and MRT Phases 2A and 2B inline with Commission B's desire to optimize public transportation. Because, based on the route, it also more precisely meets the needs of the community.

"For the example if LRT from Velodrome to Manggarai. We'll support connection of LRT Bodebek from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas," he said.

He also reminded that regarding the loan scheme in the construction of the MRT in the new phases to pay close attention to the impact on the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) when repayment has to be made. Moreover, there will be accelerated construction of MRT Phase 2A, 2B and Phase 3 (East-West) routes  this year.

"However, this is a loan that must be repaid. Don't let the burden of large installments impact other important sectors such as education assistance, social assistance and cheap food subsidies," he closed.
