8.7 Tons Waste Transported at Monas after May Day

About eight tons of waste were transported by Central Jakarta Environment Sub-agency, after May Day commemoration at Monas, Wednesday (5/1).

"We deploy 100 personnel from Gambir, Senen, Menteng, and Tanah Abang Sub-districts

Central Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Slamet Riyadi, said his side deployed 100 personnel from several sub-districts to clean waste along Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Medan Merdeka Selatan and Jalan Thamrin.

"We deploy 100 personnel from Gambir, Senen, Menteng, and Tanah Abang Sub-districts," he said, Thursday (5/2).

Not only personnel, his side also deployed six sweeper cars and transporting trucks, four tayos, two panthers and three motorcarts.

Meanwhile, Gambir Sub-district Environment Implementer unit Head, Mumu Mulyana, stated the cleaning was run after the mass left the area. It was started from 5 PM to 8 PM last night.

"Totally we transported 8.75 tons of waste. 60 percent of them were inorganic waste," he stated.
