Residents Appreciate Maintenance of Road Embankment on Kelapa Island

The maintenance of the road embankment on the south side of Kelapa Island, RT 05/04, North Seribu Islands, Seribu Islands has received appreciation from residents.

RW 04 Kelapa Island Chairman, Maulana appreciated the performance of the Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) personnel who conducted embankment maintenance. Moreover, residents often use this road embankment for road access.

"With the embankment in good condition, residents can now cross safely again," he said, Monday (5/6).

RW 04 Kelapa Island Resident, Yantei (36), explained previously the embankment had many holes due to the impact of sea waves.

"Thank you to the blue troops who immediately followed up on our proposal," he expressed.

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendro explained the maintenance work had been ongoing on March 22 and was completed on May 4, 2024. It involved six personnel.

"In overall, it was conducted with a width of 250 centimeters and a length of 277 meters," he explained.

He added his party had used 50 kilograms of cement, sand, mortar, and instant concrete. Its maintenance is part of efforts to provide the best service to the community.

"After road repairs, we will also repaint this road embankment," he stated.
