20 Kilograms of Vegetables Harvested at RPTRA KKO

Cilandak Timur Urban Village apparatuses, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, together with local residents harvesting vegetable at RPTRA KKO. There were 22 kilograms of vegetable harvested today.

Cilandak Timur Urban Village Head, Agus Muharam, said in this big harvest, 14 kilograms of kale, 6.6 kilograms of mustard greens, 440 grams of cayenne pepper, 400 grams of eggplant and 1.7 kilograms of lemongrass were successfully harvested.

"The planting process has been carried out since the beginning of the year. Apart from vegetables, we also managed to harvest 5.38 kilograms of catfish," he said, Tuesday (5/7).

Agus added that not only to maintain food security, this activity also a means of interaction and strengthening community cohesion.

"We process the harvest together and we can share it with the community, especially toddlers who are indicated to be stunted," he added.

Meanwhile, RW 05 LMK, Agus (50), thanked to local government and South Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency for providing the program.

"We have also always appealed to residents to utilize the empty land around them. So, when food prices rise, we don't need to worry," he stated.
