300 Dead Trees in North Jakarta will Be Replaced

In future, we will replace the dead trees with stronger trees type jackfruit or tamarind

The floods that hit Cilincing area along January-February 2015, has caused 300 productive trees in Marunda Flat, Cilincing, North Jakarta, dead. Most of them are mango trees.

"In future, we will replace the dead trees with stronger trees type jackfruit or tamarind," told Head of Agriculture and Forestry Section for Head of North Jakarta Marine, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-Department, Sry Rahayu, Wednesday (4/22).

929 Trees Pruned in Central Jakarta

Rahayu expressed, such trees are part of 1,000 planting tree in 2013-2014. It is targeted to be completed by the end of October.

Separately, Head of North Jakarta Marine, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-Department, Una Rusmana uttered for tree management, his sub-department will need coordination ranging from RT, RW, urban village, sub-district, and Marunda Flat's Technical Management Unit (UPT).

"We will remain do guidance, monitoring and motivation to local people for caring plants. Because this is common interest," he finished.
