Post-Flood, 20 Parks in W. Jakarta Damaged

As many as 20 interactive parks in West Jakarta were damaged due to flooded. Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Department will perform emergency repairs to the 20 parks while waiting the 2015 City Budget.

The most common damaged parks are located in Cengkareng Sub-district

West Jakarta Parks and Cemeteris Sub-dept. Head Jauhari Arifin mentioned, the 20 parks were located in 4 sub-district areas.

The first area located in Kembangan Sub-district; there are 5 damaged parks as Puri Block D Park, Block J Park, BPPT Park, BTN 1 Park, and Anggrek Dahlia Park.

Meanwhile in Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, the damaged parks are located on Flamboyan Park, Kebon Raya Park, and Kebon Jeruk Complex Park. Then, in Grogol Petamburan Sub-district as Jelambar Madya Barat 1 and Madya 2 park.

"The most common damaged parks are located in Cengkareng Sub-district. There are 10 damaged parks such as Anggrek Park, Beringin Park, Pakis Park, Jeruk Park, Puspa Park, Belimbing Park, Bambu Betung Park, Wibisana Park, Waduk Bojong Park, and Kodok Park," said Arifin, Tuesday (2/17).

Arifin admitted, his side has sent the budget proposal for the parks repair to the department.

"For the beginning, we will clean the rest of the flood and replace the damaged tree with our stock," added Arifin.

Arifin added, the flood also damaged some green lanes. As example, the green lane on Jalan Daan Mogot, Jalan Kyai Tapa, behind Grogol Terminal, under Pesing flyover, Jalan Susilo Raya, Jalan Susilo I, and Jalan Tubagus Angke.
