30 People Participated in Socialization on Use of APAR in Cipedak Urban Village

Some 30 participants consisting of elements of State Civil Apparatus (ASN), Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP), and three pillars in Cipedak Urban Village, Jagakarsa Sub-district, South Jakarta took part in the socialization and practice of early fire extinguishing.

South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Syamsul Huda said it aimed to improve the ability to use portable fire extinguishers (APAR) to prevent fires early on.

"We teach them how to use portable fire extinguishers correctly. So, there is no panic in extinguishing the fire," he expressed, Monday (5/20).

Warsono: Provision of APAR in Each RT Needs to Be Realized Soon

He hoped that those who work in government offices or institutions are becoming more aware of the importance of preparedness in dealing with fire disasters which can happen to anyone, anytime, and anywhere.

"Apart from socialization and practice, we also check the APARs in this building, and ensure they are suitable for use," he expressed.

Cipedak Urban Village Head, Fatihien explained it was very important considering that it seemed like it would soon be entering the summer season, which is prone to triggering potential fires.

"We are required to take part in this activity for everyone who works in this office. So, they know and can use APAR," he stated.
