Wheelchair Assistance Distributed to Residents in Kebayoran Lama

As many as 23 wheelchairs were distribute to needy residents from poor families in Kebayoran Lama Sub-district, South Jakarta.

Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Head, Iwan K Santoso, said the wheelchairs provided to underprivileged residents are the result of synergy with South Jakarta Social Sub-agency.

Physical Aids Distributed to Poors on Two Islands

"This assistance is a form of government concern for its citizens," he said, Tuesday (5/21).

Iwan explained, apart from wheelchairs, other assistance was also given in the form of two tripods and four hearing aids.

Meanwhile, Kebayoran Lama Social Implementer Unit Head, Arief, stated hopefully the provision of this assistance can increase the enthusiasm of the aid recipients to carry out their daily activities.

"We and our staff will also continue to collect data on underprivileged residents in Kebayoran Lama Sub-district who really need wheelchairs and other devices. So, our presence as community servants can be felt," he stated.

One of residents who received wheelchair, Ninik Supartini (59), thanked for this assistance.

"The wheelchair is very nice and comfortable. May everyone be blessed for their concern for others," she said.
