Seven Angsana Trees on Jalan Outer Ring Road Pruned

There were seven angsana trees pruned on Jalan Outer Ring Road, Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district.

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Romy Sidharta, said pruning at this location was to anticipate incidents of trees falling or splintering due to the condition of the trees which were already thick and tall.

"Pruning was carried out as part of routine maintenance because the trees were already tall and lush," he said, Wednesday (5/22).

He added that seven personnel from the sub-agency were deployed to prune the trees. Some of trees also blocked the public street light.

Didang Saputra (57), an iron shop owner at the location, supported the tree pruning done by the personnel.

"After pruning, the environment becomes neater, brighter and safer for the public and road users," he admitted.
