Jakarta Cooperation Bureau Head, Marulina Dewi, said, Jakarta Provincial Government honored to host the 2024 Crisis Management Conference which was attended by around 30 participants from representatives of a number of city governments in the world, namely Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, New Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Yangon, Manila, as well as the cities of Berlin and New South Wales as an observer.
"Yesterday, CMC participants discussed and shared experiences of best practices in dealing with disaster crises. And today we are carrying out a field visit to West Java to give the delegates a unique experience by riding the first high-speed train in Indonesia. As well as studying high-speed train risk management such as the Disaster Monitoring Center," she said, Friday (5/31).
She hopes that the visit to West Java will not only promote the development of rail infrastructure in Indonesia towards the era of modern transportation, but will also enrich the participants' insight regarding the resilience of urban transportation networks.
"The delegation also warmly shared experiences about resilience, innovation and hope in overcoming disasters for the sake of a livable earth," she added.
She continued that the delegation also visited Seribu Island to see water rescue attraction from Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Agency.
"They also planted mangrove, enjoyed dinner on Quicksilver boat," she continued.
