Joint Personnel Join Cleanup Action in C. Jakarta to Welcome JIM 2024

Welcoming the upcoming Jakarta International Marathon 2024 (JIM), a simultaneous cleanup action was held in Menteng, Gambir, Sawah Besar, and Tanah Abang sub-districts, Friday (5/31).

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma explained these four sub-district areas were the focus of the clean-up action because they were included in the track for the JIM which falls on June 23.
"As hosts, we have to prepare well. Coincidentally, the start and finish points are in Central Jakarta," he expressed.

In Sawah Besar Sub-district, the same activity was spotted on Jalan Lapangan Banteng Selatan, Jalan Dr. Wahidin Raya, Jalan Gunung Sahari, Jalan Dr. Sutomo, Jalan Gedung Kesenian, and Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara.
In Gambir Sub-district, it was held on Jalan Medan Merdeka, Jalan Perwira, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda, and Jalan Veteran I.
He admitted the Monas area would be the most widely used strategic point. Therefore, the same action was also conducted throughout the event locations in the Central Jakarta area.
The action involved about 1,000 joint personnel of Central Jakarta PPSU, SDA, Bina Marga, Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat), Satpol PP, Transportation Agency (Dishub), Parks and City Forest Sub-agency. It was done by arranging and tidying up the area and public facilities that were the object of the runner's track.
"We clean it to make it safer and more comfortable," he explained.
Central Jakarta Mayor, Chaidir urged all personnel in Central Jakarta to keep maintaining the areas that had been cleaned so that they remained neat and beautiful.
"Keep maintaining order, security, and cleanliness with sincere and wholehearted work," he stated.
