I want to promote the city of Jakarta and the City Hall building to participants

This international marathon event, which will be attended by around 12,000 runners from within and outside the country, will take place on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

The route passes Jakarta's iconic buildings starting and ending at Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta.

He assessed a running race event like this could also be a promotional event for the city of Jakarta. Moreover, the location for collecting race packs/running equipment was at Jakarta City Hall and also introduced participants to the governor's office building.

"I want to promote the city of Jakarta and the City Hall building to participants, especially from other countries. This is City Hall and all its activities," he expressed, in the Jakarta Provincial Government's press release, Thursday (11/9).

He hoped that BTN Jakarta Run 2023 as sport tourism could contribute positively to the community's economy by involving Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

There would be four categories, namely Marathon (42K), Half Marathon (21K), 10K, and 5K. Hopefully, the participants would be able to compete well and break records.

"I'm here to encourage the runners, because the prizes given are outstanding. The runner who breaks the record gets a house," he stressed.

As for the information, the event will also be participated by foreign runners from 21 countries. They are from United States, England, Sweden, the Netherlands, Russia, US Virgin Islands, Australia, Canada, Germany, India, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Philippines.
