Damaged Channel on Jalan Swadarma Raya being Repaired

The Pesanggrahan Sub-district Water Ressources (SDA) Executing Unit, South Jakarta is seen repairing the water channel on Jalan Swadarma Raya, RT 03/08, Ulujami Urban Village. The work progress has reached 70 percent so far.

This is targeted for completion within two weeks

Pesanggrahan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit's Field Coordinator, Halim said the channel repairs have been ongoing since early May 2024.

"The damage is spotted at its sheet pile and we are also installing a manhole cover here," he expressed, Monday (6/3).

He explained five personnel were sent to repair the channel as long as 50 meters with 100 centimeters high and 40 centimeters wide

"This is targeted for completion within two weeks," he explained.

He hoped that it could restore the function of the channel as before in order to minimize flooding in the rainy season.

"By doing so, I want residents to maintain cleanliness by not littering," he uttered.

The work received appreciation from residents, Fajar (47). Prior to the repair, the damage was located on the two sides.

"Thanks for the repair. Hopefully, flooding can be minimized when it rains and create a sense of safety and comfort for residents," he said.
