Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati, the aim of this activity is to increase the capacity of urban farming locations as a tourist destination to attract regional and foreign tourists to support Jakarta as a global city.

"This technical guidance also increases the capacity of urban farming activists in carrying out promotions and communications to the wider community as well as increasing their capacity as local champions in meeting market needs, especially vegetables," she said.

She said that Jakarta will be transformed into a global city so it needs to improve and prepare various sectors, including the agricultural sector. According to her, several indicators of a global city are the availability of comfortable spaces to live in, the ability to attract tourists to visit and a clean, comfortable and sustainable environment.

"Urban farming can play a role in fulfilling several of these indicators," she added.

Eli explained that the Government will implement a program to provide nutritious food for school students in 2025. This will be an opportunity and challenge for urban farmers to meet their daily vegetable needs.

Eli hopes the participants can further encourage and mobilize the surrounding community to be more active in producing and carry out production according to market demand so that the activities carried out can provide better profits and benefits.

"Increase collaboration and marketing networks as long as they are mutually beneficial," she closed.
