People with Disabilities in W. Jakarta will Soon Receive Assistive Devices

The West Jakarta Social Agency is ready to distribute hundreds of assistive devices for people with disabilities.
We have distributed 100 wheelchairs
West Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Suprapto said that this year his party would distribute aid in the form of 257 assistive devices consisting of 217 wheelchairs, 25 hearing aids and 15 crutches and tripods.
"From that number, we have distributed 100 wheelchairs. For hearing aids and canes, they will only be distributed this June," he expressed, Tuesday (6/11).
Social Agency to Add Physical Aid for DisabilityHe explained the amount of assistance for people with disabilities could still be increased and there would be new proposals in the Amandment APBD.
"This assistance is the Jakarta Government's commitment to help people with disabilities who are unable and need it," he explained.
As for aid recipients, namely, residents with West Jakarta ID cards, those who can't afford it, have limitations, a certificate from RT, RW and urban village.
