The North Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency (Nakertransgi) is currently holding a job fair, offering 2,206 vacancies in the Mangga Dua Square Mall, Pademangan, North Jakarta.

Jakarta Nakertransgi Agency Head, Hari Nugroho said the fair, which is being held from June 12 to 13, 2024, offered vacancies in 40 companies engaged in various fields.
"This Job Fair is needed to facilitate job seekers and companies that need workers. The government facilitates this activity for a balance between job positions and workers," he expressed, Wednesday (6/12).

"Hopefully, job seekers can use it as well as possible, especially in North Jakarta, moreover it can eradicate poverty and reduce unemployment," he hoped.
According to him, the current unemployment rate is the highest for SMA/SMK education. Hence, the Nakertransgi Agency plans to collaborate with the Education Agency (Disdik) to provide training before students graduate.
"We want that after graduating these students can immediately get a job or continue their education at university," he explained.
North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim explained employers (companies) in North Jakarta must utilize and optimize this activity to absorb workers from existing vacancies.
"This is the right momentum to start rising together to reduce the unemployment rate in North Jakarta," he explained.
He hoped that job seekers could get jobs according to their talents, interests, and competencies.
"The public and job seekers can also take advantage of job training that has been facilitated by the government through North Jakarta PPKD," he added.
North Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-agency Head, Noviar Dinaryanti explained that during the job fair, companies that participated were engaged in the retail, automotive, shipping, financial services, security services, and other service distribution companies.
"It will be running from 10 AM to 4 PM. It is targeted to absorb 3,000 job seekers," he uttered.
One of the job seekers from Marunda, Firman Sinaga (24) admitted he got job fair information from social media.
"This is very good because many companies are opening job vacancies. I just resigned and am looking for a job that suits my field of IT," he stated.
