Tens of PPSU personnel are deployed to beautify Kebayoran Lama Sub-district area, South Jakarta. Mural painting will beautify the area to enliven Jakarta's 497 Anniversary.

Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Head, Iwan K Santoso, said mural painting is applied at several points such as flyover and underpass. This has been cooperated with related Regional Working Unit.

"Mural painting is applied at Simprug Flyover, Gandaria City Underpass, Pondok Indah Underpass, and Lebak Bulus Underpass," he said, Wednesday (6/19).

He added mural painting was started on June 14, 2024 by involving 20 PPSU personnel for each locations.

"Totally we create mural painting along 2,500 meter with 80 to 100 cm of height," he added.

According to him, mural painting is also be based on South Jakarta local wisdom such as hibiscus flowers and sparrows.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Haryono (33), appreciated mural painting conducted by local government.

"This area is more beautiful, both during the day and at night. It's very good that every time there is an event or certain moment there will be a mural made, so it will be more colorful," he admitted.
