The event which was opened by Jakarta Fire handling and Rescue Agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan, was held since Wednesday (6/19) up to June 27. This event features two types of competition, namely brave heart which will be held on June 19-20 and hose laying, June 24-27.

The assessment focuses on speed and punctuality. Then, there are no mistakes while racing and crossing obstacles. If there are errors then the value will be deducted.
"The event is held to enliven Jakarta's 497th Anniversary and Indonesia's 77th Anniversary," he explained, Thursday (6/20).

Satriadi added that this skills competition is to improve the competency of firefighters so they are always ready and remain in top condition, as well as a place for friendship.
He hopes that from this activity, Jakarta, which is becoming a global city, will have professional and reliable firefighters.
This skills competition meets international standards and the team represented Indonesia at the international event in Singapore in 2023. In this event, which was attended by 24 countries, he said, Indonesia succeeded in winning the overall championship.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Head, Muchtar Zakaria, stated his side deployed 11 teams for brave heart or a test of dexterity to extinguish fires and 10 teams for a hose laying competition or dexterity to extinguish fires with an obstacle course.
"Last year, East Jakarta won the brave heart competition. It is hoped we'll win again this year," he hoped.
