Traffic Engineering Applied for Jakarta International Marathon 2024

Traffic engineering will be applied for 36 roads and 94 intersections during Jakarta International Marathon 2024 on June 23 tomorrow.

Only roads and intersections that connect to marathon track to be closed

"Only roads and intersections that connect to marathon track to be closed," said Syafrin Liputo, Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Saturday (6/22).

During the 2024 Jakarta International Marathon, alternative routes that can be taken by people are via the following roads:

a) Traffic from South (Cikini) heading to North (Juanda) can use Jalan Arief Rahman Hakim-Jalan Kramat Kwitang-Jalan Pasar Senen-Jalan Bungur Raya-Jalan Angkasa-Jalan Samanhudi-Jalan Pecenongan-and so on;

b) Traffic from West (HI Roundabout, Tanah Abang, Kebon Sirih, Budi Kemuliaan) heading to East (Tugu Tani, Salemba, Taman Suropati) can use West side of Jalan Thamrin-West side of Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat- Jalan Majapahit-Jalan Juanda-Jalan Pos-Jalan Gunung Sahari-and so on;

c) Traffic from East (Taman Suropati) heading to West (Tanah Abang) can use Jalan Teuku Umar-Jalan Cut Mutia-Jalan Menteng Raya-Jalan Arief Rahman Hakim-Jalan Kwitang Raya-and so on, or use  Jalan Madiun-Jalan Sultan Agung-Jalan Galunggung-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur III-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur II-Jalan RM Margono Djojohadikoesoemo-and so on;

d) Residents living on Jalan Kusuma Atmaja, Jalan Sumenep, Jalan Purworejo and Jalan Blora can use Jalan Latuharhary-Jalan Sultan Agung-Jalan Galunggung and so on;

e) Traffic from West (Karet Station) heading to East (Manggarai) can use Jalan RM Margono Djojohadikoesoemo-Jalan Galunggung- Jalan Sultan Agung and so on;

f) Traffic from East (Taman Suropati) heading to West (Tanah Abang) can use Jalan Madiun-Jalan Sultan Agung-Jalan Galunggung-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur III-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur II-Jalan R.M Margono Djojohadikoesoemo and so on;

g) Traffic from West (Tanah Abang) heading to East (Kampung Melayu) can use  Jalan Mas Mansyur-Jalan Prof Dr Satrio or JLNT Prof Dr Satrio-Jalan Casablanka Raya-Jalan KH Abdulah Syafei and so on;

h) Traffic from East (Kampung Melayu) heading to West (Tanah Abang) can use  Jalan KH Abdulah Syafei-Jalan Casablanka Raya-JLNT Prof Dr Satrio or Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio -Jalan Mas Mansyur and so on;

i) Traffic from East (Kampung Melayu) heading to West (Palmerah Station) can use  Jalan K.H. Abdulah Syafei-Jalan Casablanka Raya-JLNT Prof Dr Satrio or Jalan Prof Dr Satrio-Jalan Mas Mansyur-Jalan Penjernihan-Jalan Pejompongan Raya-Jalan Palmerah Timur 1 and so on;

j) Residents living around Setiabudi (Pedurenan) can use Jalan Denpasar-Jalan Prof Dr Satrio-take U turn on Jalan Prof Dr Satrio-Jalan Denpasar-Jalan Denpasar Selatan-Jalan Gatot Subroto and so on; or use Jalan Prof Dr Satrio-Jalan DR Ide Anak Agung Gde Agung-Jalan Denpasar Raya-Jalan Denpasar Selatan-Jalan Gatot Subroto and so on;

k) Traffic from East (Cawang) heading to West (Slipi) can use Kupingan Besar Semanggi-Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-Jalan Mas Mansyur-Jalan Penjernihan-Jalan Pejompongan Raya-Kupingan Pejompongan Raya-Jalan Gatot Subroto and so on;

l) Traffic from North (Tendean) heading to West (Ragunan) can use Jalan Kapten Tendean-Jalan Gatot Subroto-Jalan Pasar Minggu-Jalan Duren Tiga Raya-Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya and so on;

m) Residents around East side of Jalan Prapanca Raya (Jalan Bangka, Jalan Wijaya 1, Jalan Kemang Raya) heading to west (Blok M) can use Jalan Bangka Raya-Jalan Kapten Tendean

n) Residents around West side of Jalan Prapanca Raya (Jalan Dharmawangsa, Jalan Melawai, Jalan Wijaya II) heading to West side (Mampang) can use Jalan Panglima Polim-Jalan Trunojoyo-Jalan Wolter Monginsidi-Jalan Gunawarman-Jalan Senopati-Jalan Suryo-Jalan Kapten Tendean and so on;

o) Traffic from South (TB Simatupang) heading to North (Senayan Roundabout) can use Jalan Pangeran Antasari-Jalan Dharmawangsa X-Jalan Panglima Polim-Jalan Kyai Maja-Jalan Pati Unus- Jalan Pakubuwono VI-Jalan Hang Lekir 2-Jalan Hang Lekir 1 and so on;

p) South and North side of JLNT Antasari are closed during the event.

Meanwhile, several areas need special attention especially for roads connected to marathon track;

a) Jalan Wahidin Raya-Jalan Gunung Sahari-Jalan Budi Utomo and Jalan Veteran-Jalan Veteran 1-Jalan Veteran 2- Jalan Veteran 3 and Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara are closed during the event. The roads are accessible after the last runners passing which is predicted at 5:30 AM;

b) Jalan Pattimura-Jalan Sisingamangaraja are closed during the event. Residents around Taman Mataram can use East side of Jalan Sisingamangaraja then heading South to Jalan Raden Patah II and heading to Jalan Trunojoyo;

c) Area along Jalan Hassanudin-Jalan Iskandarsyah-Jalan Prapanca Raya-Jalan Antasari are closed during the event.
