"The plaster collapsed due to heavy rain in early year ago," he said, Monday (6/24).

Pendi explained that the repairs were carried out using river stones and the outside was plastered with cement so that it was smooth and neat.

"We deploy eight personnel. It is targeted to complete this weekend," he added.

He hopes this improvement will make the channel work normally to prevent water inundated the road during rainy season.

One of the residents, Tiara Pertiwi (30), appreciated the North Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency for responding residents' request to improve the channel plaster.

"The work is quick. Hopefully the water will not inundate the road again," she stated.
