Cleanup Action Intensified at Jalan Raya Kelapa Hybrida

As many as 110 joint personnel participated in the cleanup action along Jalan Raya Kelapa Hybrida and connecting channel, RW 15, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Tuesday (6/25).

Kelap Gading Sub-district Head, Anita Pemata Sari explained the 110 joint personnel at the location consisted of PPSU, SDA, Bina Marga, Park and City Forest, Environment Task Force, and residents of Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village.
"This is held to commemorate Jakarta's anniversary and also anticipate and prepare for the rainy season," she expressed.
Two Spots of Dirty Channels in Mampang Prapatan ClearedHe explained the cleanup action started with cleaning the 100-meter-long connecting channel, then cleaning open channels, parks, tree pruning, and cleaning the road area in the Hybrida Raya area.
It was focused on the RW 15 area, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, as the area was in lowland so it is prone to inundation. It also aimed to create a clean, beautiful, and healthy environment.
"Hopefully, it can minimize flooding and smoothen water flow in the channel," he hoped.
The action above received appreciation from RW 15 Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village Chairman, Alfian.
"I hope that the channel can accommodate water in large quantities when it rains," he hoped.
Together with locals, he had also committed to maintaining the cleanliness and smooth running of the channels in his area.
"That way, our area can be free from flooding," he concluded.
