Trees on Jalan Birah I Pruned

The Orange personnel of Rawa Barat Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, South Jakarta pruned trees on Jalan Birah I, RW 06.

Two trees fell yesterday

Rawa Barat Urban Village Head, Merinta Hendri Purnomo, said this pruning is done to prevent the recurrence of fallen trees or broken branches.

"Two trees fell yesterday. One of them was already evacuated. Another fallen tree evacuation is still being continued," he said, Thursday (7/4).

Merinta added his side deployed six PPSU personnel to prune 7 meter-banyan tree.

He hopes this effort can provide a sense of security for pedestrians and motorists passing through the Jalan Birah I area.

"We have cooperated with related regional working unit to transport the debris," he added.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Rizal (47), appreciated the quick response taken by the local government since the tree fell yesterday until now.

"Personnel's response is good to prune the remaining yesterday's fallen trees to provide a sense of security to residents," he admitted.
